Anne Fontenoy started to sew and draw when she was about 4 years old and she began making patterns for clothes when aged about 12 years.  She trained in the 1970s in various art studios, at first in a small independent studio that worked on quite a few IPC Publications, then painting make-up with oil paints on display mannequins for a mannequin renovation company.  After that she worked for a very small firm that made completely hand made belts and buttons for the couture houses, followed by a job at NCR producing artwork and flow charts for their manuals as well as hand drafted forms for data entry.  In the next few years she gained extensive administrative and secretarial experience in various legal and commercial firms, including part time work in an editorial office, for the first 6 years of her freelance design career, which started in 1981.

She has studied Computer Graphics & DTP, has an A level in IT and also completed the following study with Open University: a Certificate in French, a Certificate in Accounting (OUBS) and a Diploma in Classics (Classical Latin and Classical Greek).

Her creative work includes designs for ladies hand made clothes, surface decoration, silk painting, embroidery/beadwork, airbrushed images, pictures in pen & ink, pencil, pastels and other hand produced media, as well as computer graphics, including the Digital Collection, a range of designs produced as cards and Giclée prints.

Mail order leaflets are available for Cards and Prints, hand painted silk scarves, hand made ladies accessories and a 16 page catalogue of over 35 original fine art pictures is now available. Commissions are considered across the range of media.
